Undergraduate Fellowships
The Pembroke Center invites undergraduate students to submit proposals for participation as Fellows in the 2011-12 Pembroke Seminar, "The Question of Consent." Selected students will receive a stipend of $1,000 for two semesters of participation. Proposals are due by Friday, April 8, 2011.
Undergraduates who will be in their 5th semester or above in the fall, and who have interests related to the upcoming seminar are invited to apply; a limited number will be selected.
The Pembroke Seminar is an interdisciplinary research seminar that meets weekly throughout the academic year. Members include Pembroke Center postdoctoral fellows, Brown faculty, research affiliates, visiting scholars, and selected graduate and undergraduate students. It will meet on Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm.
Participating undergraduates must register for the Pembroke Research Seminar, GNSS2010E (Fall), GNSS2020E (Spring). Permission is required.
For 2011-12 consideration, please submit the following materials:
- A brief description of your background
- A three-page detailed discussion of your interest in the topic
- A brief letter of support from a faculty member who knows your work
- An information sheet indicating your current semester and concentration
