Graduate Fellowships
The Pembroke Center invites graduate students to participate as Fellows in the 2011-2012 Pembroke Seminar on "The Question of Consent." Graduate student fellows will receive a stipend of $1,000 for two semesters of participation. Applications are due by Friday, April 8, 2011.
The Pembroke Seminar is an interdisciplinary research seminar that meets weekly throughout the academic year. Members include Pembroke Center postdoctoral fellows, Brown faculty, research affiliates, visiting scholars, and selected graduate and undergraduate students. It will meet on Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm.

There are two ways graduate students may participate in the Pembroke Seminar:
1. Apply to take the Pembroke Research Seminar for course credit. Register for GNSS2010E (Fall), 2020E (Spring). Permission is required.
A limited number of graduate students may participate in the Pembroke Seminar for course credit. There is no stipend in this category.
2. Apply for participation as a Graduate Student Fellow. Graduate students who have research interests related to the upcoming Pembroke Seminar topic may submit an application. Up to three students will be selected. Each Graduate Student Fellow will receive a research stipend of $1,000 for two semesters of participation.
To apply for the Pembroke Research Seminar in 2011-12, please submit the following:
- A three-page description of your research project, including a brief representative bibliography
- A brief letter of support from a faculty member who knows your work
- A cover sheet indicating your current year, department, and (if relevant) your dissertation director, and indicating whether you are applying to be a fellow or to take the seminar for course credit
